Check out our awesome pictures below from the DigitalMuse.org launch event that took place at the second European Gender Summit in Brussels on 29 November 2012! There were over 300 people present for the occasion where we also got to announce the winners of the crowd-sourced version of the “Science: It’s a Girl Thing” campaign video.
A big “thank you” to the Gender Summit organizers and to our original Big and Little Muses who were on site for a terrific launch event! 🙂
Proud to announce that we will officially launch DigitalMuse.org at the second European Gender Summit, taking place on 29 November 2012! Come to the Gender Summit networking event to visit our stand and receive exclusive DigitalMuse.org Launch stickers and buttons, and to watch the winning version of the new, crowd-sourced “Science: It’s a Girl Thing” video,* which DM founder and a group of young digital muses had the honour of helping select!

Cheryl Miller, founder of DigitalMuse.org, contributed in an expert capacity to designing the “Science: It’s a Girl Thing” campaign, an initiative by the European Commission’s Research, Innovation & Science Directorate aiming to increase the number of women in science by one million, by 2020.
On 6 October 2012, Cheryl Miller, founder of DigitalMuse.org and former Technology Chair and European Director of greenlight for girls, introduced the concept for DigitalMuse.org during her TEDxVilnius speech on “Girls are going to save the world!” See if you can find hints about DigitalMuse.org in the pictures below. 🙂
